BASIC FUNCTION: The Security Guard has the primary responsibility of providing general security services to LLPOA and the Lake Latonka Community (LLC) including, but not limited to the lake, grounds, building, properties and members’ homes and properties.

EQUIPMENT USED: Computer, car, boat and other equipment as needed for successful completion of duties.

DIRECTION RECEIVED: General Manager as directed by the Board of Directors

WORK WITH: Maintenance Staff, Administrative Staff, as well as Law-Enforcement Agencies and Emergency Services as needed.

DIRECTION EXERCISED: As directed which may include flexible work schedule

FUNCTIONAL PERFORMANCE:

A: Activities

1. To insure the security and protection of the residents and members as well as their property as to the best of his/her ability including all property owned by LLPOA.

2. To be responsible for patrolling the Lake Latonka Community and performing a visual check check of all properties and assets of LLPOA and the member’s residences and properties.

3. To place special emphasis on those properties when the member has requested patrolling as authorized by the General Manager.

4. To ensure that the roadway traffic is operating in accordance with the rules and regulations of LLPOA and to issue citations when necessary.

5. To be responsible for patrolling the waterways of the lake and to regulate the proper use of any/all watercraft on the water ensuring that all LLPOA and government rules and regulations are adhered to and followed.

6. To be responsible for the issuance of certain citations pertaining to the violation of certain LLPOA rules and regulations as authorized by the LLPOA Board of Directors.

7. To ensure that only members, residents or their guest are allowed to use the property within the boundaries of LLPOA including, but not limited to the use of watercraft, off-road vehicles, recreational vehicles and other activities for the benefit of our members and residents.

8. To act as the liaison between the property owners and the Board of Directors always promoting the mission and vision of the LLPOA.

9. To promote harmony in the community by assisting members, residents, guests and visitors regarding directions, regulations, services and or complaints that are brought to his/her attention.

10. To act as the public representative of LLPOA as directed by the Board of Directors.

11. To work with all local, state and federal government or agencies as deemed is necessary for the proper compliance of all laws, statues etc. as they apply to our community.

12. To insure that all boats, vehicles etc. have the permits required by LLPOA or LLC

13. To perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager of LLPOA.

B. Finances:

1. Insures that all expenses are properly documented and presented to the General Manager in a timely manner.

2. To be responsible for the proper keeping of hours worked.

C. Record Keeping – Priorities:

1. Keep an appropriate log of any and all activities within the boundaries of LLPOA, any activities that appear to be illegal, unusual, hazardous or in violation of any and all LLPOA or any state, federal and local laws. To present such information to the General Manager and oversee the proper keeping of these records.

2. Obtain proper professional assistance when required such as state police, fire department, Power Company, water company etc.

3. Keep proper records for the vehicle assigned including maintenance records, fuelconsumption etc.

The employee may have to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have good peripheral vision in order to operate a motor vehicle, watercraft (on water) and off road equipment in traffic areas safely. Color vision is required to identify signage and traffic marking indicators.
