TITLE:Audio/Video Technician (sub)

REPORTS TO: Director of Music Ministry

CLASSIFICATION: Contract per hour

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is to provide audio and video support during Sunday worship services and other services and church events as requested.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Sound and Visual support for all Sunday worship services and other services and live stream events—includes sound reinforcement, recording, streaming, lighting and visual projection

· Sound and Visual support for other live stream events as requested

· Support worship leadership in preparing visual aids used during worship including liturgy, song lyrics, announcements, video, canned video shorts, and other items as requested

· Preparing the stream deck every week for worship

· Run the live stream and sound simultaneously on occasion

• Upload sermons and videos to YouTube and church website as soon as they are available

· Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

· Technical training in sound equipment and recording, microphone placement, video shooting and editing, video projection control and streaming

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in audio or video production related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Knowledge of lighting is preferred

PERSONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Apple equivalent applications including Keynote, Numbers and Pages

· Proficient in Vmix, Vimeo streaming services, PTZ camera operations, lighting consoles

· Proficient with Creative Cloud Software: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects or other equivalent software

· Proficient with uploading and editing graphic files in web content management systems such as Clover and/or Wordpress

· Strong communications skills, ability to meet timelines, ability to work across departmental lines, team player

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Able to sit at a desk for long periods of time monitoring sound and video

· Able to stand for long periods of time filming services and events

· Shift work can exceed 12 hours at a stretch with limited break times

· Occasional setup of AV equipment which requires an ability to lift up to 50lbs

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position reports to the Director of Music Ministry.

RELATIONSHIPS: Collaborates with all program staff, pastors, elders, trustees and support staff.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

• Weekends as needed
