Commitment Incentive:

1-year $7,500 bonus

  • $1,000 at 30 days
  • $3,250 at 6 months

Position Summary:

  • Correctly identifies patients using two forms of identification; reviews patient history and physician orders.
  • Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
  • When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate imaging parameters.
  • Properly positions patient, performs imaging procedure(s) and labels images correctly.
  • Analyzes results and identifies issues with quality of imaging results.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.
  • Transmits images to PACs.
  • Completes documentation in the RIS and PACs. Communicates appropriate information to the radiologist.

Reports to: Senior Director-Radiology

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Licenses:

Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiologic Technology.

Certified by the State of Kentucky as a radiation operator required.

Required Skills Certifications:

Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire date.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
