GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Under the supervision of the Adult Day Health Care Center Coordinator, the Adult Day Health Care Aide will help with the day to day operations to promote a healthy and independent atmosphere for participants in the Lake Country Area Agency on Aging Adult Day Care.

Preferably has CNA certification.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Greeting the participants with a friendly approach; Paying particular attention during the day to those that appear lonely.

2. Take vital signs as scheduled.

3. Assisting when necessary, those persons needing help to the restrooms, also those that may need assistance in toileting.

4. Assist with personal hygiene bathing in the event of an emergency, skin care and dressing of participant, if necessary.

5. Assist with preparing and serving snacks and serving meals; to include cutting up food, pouring drinks, feeding participant (if necessary), and cleaning up afterwards. Launder bibs.

6. Light housekeeping such as cleaning/disinfecting all surface areas of participants if custodian is unavailable. Cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, dusting, mopping spills and emptying trash as necessary.

7. Report any changes in participant’s behavior, physical and emotional well-being to Supervisor or appropriate staff.

8. Maintain written reports as required, to include daily aide records, time sheets, nature of contact and other paperwork.

9. Attend and actively participate in daily staff and/or interdisciplinary meetings.

10. Attend meetings, educational functions and training as delegated.

11. Review activities of the day and assist the Activity Worker with conducting activities of the day.

12. Any other duties as assigned that will help enhance the well being of the client.

13. Assist the ADHC Coordinator with supervision and direction of other aides

assigned intermittently to the facility.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
