Tile Setter Job Description

Lake Area Tile LLC is a family owned business that specializes in commercial flooring and tile setting. We are seeking an experienced tile setter to join our team.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of tiling and grouting techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with contractors and team members
  • Leadership skills to manage and supervise other tile setters and laborers.
  • Good eye for detail to ensure high-quality work
  • Basic carpentry skills
  • Advanced mathematical skills
  • Ability to operate hand and power cutting tools

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with floor designs, preps, and unload materials
  • Ability to align and straighten tiles using levels and squares
  • Experience with applying plaster between tiles and removing excess plaster
  • Ability to mix, apply, and spread cement, glue, or other adhesives using hand tools
