Tile Setter Job Description
Lake Area Tile LLC is a family owned business that specializes in commercial flooring and tile setting. We are seeking an experienced tile setter to join our team.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of tiling and grouting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with contractors and team members
- Leadership skills to manage and supervise other tile setters and laborers.
- Good eye for detail to ensure high-quality work
- Basic carpentry skills
- Advanced mathematical skills
- Ability to operate hand and power cutting tools
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with floor designs, preps, and unload materials
- Ability to align and straighten tiles using levels and squares
- Experience with applying plaster between tiles and removing excess plaster
- Ability to mix, apply, and spread cement, glue, or other adhesives using hand tools
