The Drug Court Coordinator will serve as the primary operational Coordinator for the LaGrange County Drug Court operating under I.C. 33-23-16 and under the purview of the LaGrange Superior Court. Duties of the position include leadership and management functions in support of the Drug Court mission, goals and objectives. A qualified candidate will possess at minimum, a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. A master’s degree is preferred. A qualified candidate will also have two (2) or more years of experience in the substance abuse/addiction/criminal justice setting. Excellent written and oral presentation skills are required, as well as a willingness to travel both in and out of the State of Indiana for the purpose of attending training conferences and meetings. The Coordinator must have a current driver’s license and proof of insurance. The Coordinator plans, assists and coordinates with the Drug Court Judge and team in developing program design, policies, procedures and practices. The Coordinator also oversees the various program components and services provided by criminal justice agencies, treatment agencies and ancillary service providers. This position also ensures that the Drug Court policies, procedure and practices are in compliance with I.C. 12-23-14.5 and the Judicial Conference rules governing Problem-Solving Courts. The Drug Court Coordinator will be required to undergo training for urine specimen collection and other various testing and monitoring commonly included within a Drug Court program, to include but not be limited to, GPS monitoring and remote breath testing.
Compensation for this position will be based upon experience, qualifications and the probation officer salary schedule developed by the Indiana Court Services. The salary will be supplemented with benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid leave and holiday leave.
