About the Position:
Learning and Development department is looking for a Training Specialist to assist us with a variety of talent development initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Delivers and facilitates a variety of training events in face-to-face and/or virtual environments
  • Acclimates new hires to the business and conducts new hire orientation sessions
  • Performs administrative functions and logistical tasks necessary to deliver and document training programs
  • Periodically evaluates existing training content to ensure its validity and relevance. Partners with subject matter experts (SMEs), if necessary, to obtain feedback on the content
  • Assists in developing training curricula that meet instructional goals and objectives
  • Assists in selecting or developing training aids
  • Assists in analyzing and assessing training and development needs for individuals and departments
  • Stays abreast of the new trends and tools in training delivery, facilitation, and other components of talent development

Required knowledge, skills, and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
  • Knowledge of basic adult learning theory principles
  • Experience with presentation media and support tools that enhance learner’s experience (projection technology, digital presentation, video, charts, simulations, asynchronous technology)
  • Skill in creating positive learning climates/environments
  • Skill in effective communication

Desired knowledge, skills, and expertise
  • 1 years of experience in delivering and facilitating training events in face-to-face and/or virtual environments
  • Ability to lead a full training cycle
  • Skill in selecting and aligning delivery options and media for training and/or learning events to the desired learning or behavioral outcomes
  • Skill in delivering training using multiple delivery options and media, for example, mobile/multi-device, online, classroom, and/or multimedia

Qualified candidates will have:
  • A positive credit standing.
Interpersonal Skills:
  • Professionalism, both visually and behaviorally.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while prioritizing a changing workload.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities becomes necessary. Must have the ability to interact with people and focus on details and follow up on times sensitive material.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • This position requires manual dexterity, and the ability to lift files, and open cabinets.
  • This position requires bending, stooping, or standing as necessary.
  • This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face-to-face meetings, and on the computer.
