We are looking for a highly enthusiastic Preschool Teacher!

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:45a-11:45a

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Provides direction for children in the program and implements curriculum. Provide a quality experience to children and parents that focus on building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and within families.

Essential Functions:

1. Create and implement curriculum at preschool level

2. Provides close care of youth in program and releasing to authorized adults only

3. Expresses concerns and on goings to the Childcare Leadership Team

4. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information

5. Cultivates positive relationships

6. Facilitates communication and positive relationships between YMCA families and YMCA staff

7. Maintains classroom, equipment, and cleaning supplies

8. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Previous experience working with youth preferred

2. At least 18 years of age

3. Proactive, hands-on and professional work ethic

4. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date

5. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
