We are looking for a Full-Time Kitchen Staff! Join our team!


Position Summary:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.


Responsibilities:

Serving the member is our first priority, the purpose of our work, and the key to our success!

  • Serves children breakfast, am snack, lunch, and pm snack
  • Accepts and signs for food when delivered
  • Stores, keeps, and serves food at safe temperatures
  • Prepares food according to appropriate portion sizes
  • Washes dishes including washing, sanitizing, air drying, putting away
  • Keeps kitchen clean and neat

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with food preferred
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Proactive, hands-on and professional work ethic
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date
  • Previous experience with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds
