The Activity Assistant’s role is to make a positive difference in the lives of the residents by increasing socialization, providing entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment. The Activity Assistant supports the planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating of activity programs by performing the following duties. The Shift is Sunday through Wednesday with occasional nights and additional weekends
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Attends, drives the bus, and participates in outings along with assisting residents on and off the vehicle, and ensures that the bus is cleaned following each outing.
• Observes resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement so that the facility activities and resident progress are evaluated by notating, reporting, and charting resident behavior/participation.
• Participates in seasonal decorating, including decorating and take down of activity boards, door decorations, holiday décor and event décor.
• Consistently participates in activities such as crafts, gardening and games
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old with clean driving record
Sun-Wed with occasional nights and additional weekends
