The Training Supervisor works cross-functionally with manufacturing operations to develop and facilitate training activities. Partners with supervisors, operators, and technicians to identify training needs, develop training materials, and deliver or assist in the facilitation of the training.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Drives an effective training program that enables teams to safely and effectively perform consistent, high-quality, role-based across the plant to maximize operational performance.
• Manage the organization and staffing of employee onboarding and other operational training based on current production needs, training changes in the production process and training designed to supplement individual shortcomings of knowledge and skills of employees.
• Manage the plant technical and compliance training matrixes and training plans in partnership with plant leadership.
• Oversee and schedule training skill checks and qualifications.
• Work collaboratively with functional leads for procedure alignment based on roles. Perform training assessments for new and updated procedures.
• Partner with US Shared Services to troubleshoot problems reported by system users.
• Monitor and report on training KPI’s. Prepares information for internal and external audits.
• Drives effective use of the training assets in the plant including the training room, aids, materials and related technology.
• Manages training team to plan, coordinate, prepare and deploy training curriculum.
• Manages and develops team members through mentoring and coaching. Partners with Senior Production Manager and HR on employee relations issues.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

• Degree in Business, Education, Food Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is required; food manufacturing is preferred.
• 3 years of experience leading, mentoring and/or delegating work to others in a manufacturing facility is required.
• Ability to lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop and engage a team is required.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Manufacturing Experience preferred.
• Self-starter with proven ability to organize and follow through multiple complex tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Knowledge of LMS systems; Alchemy is preferred.
• Able to work flexible hours to accommodate training needs on different shifts is required.
