Overview:
Laconia Eye Associates is looking for an experienced Licensed Optician to join our team. We have one Ophthalmologist and four Optometrists currently. We have a fast paced and friendly environment in our privately owned practice. Our Opticians handle patients eyeglass prescriptions as well as contact lens prescriptions.

Here at Laconia Eye Associates we pride ourselves on providing our patients and staff with a warm and friendly environment. Our team here works closely with the Doctors and other staff to ensure an efficient family like atmosphere.

We are seeking an Optician with experience, however if you are interested in the eyecare industry and have a great customer service personality then we would want to hear from you! This career path requires fashion forward thinking, organization skills and a desire to work with patients.

Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate frames and lenses based on their prescription and personal style preferences
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit and alignment of eyewear
- Interpret and verify prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed, including frame adjustments, lens replacements, and minor repairs
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology

-Handle contact lens dispensing and ordering

Experience:
- Previous experience as an Optician is preferred but not required
-Customer service experience

Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Strong attention to detail for accurate measurements and prescription fulfillment
- Effective communication skills to explain complex concepts to customers in a clear manner
- Proficient computer skills for managing electronic records
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy is maintained

Education:

-High School Graduate or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.60 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 34 per week
