Position Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Administrator position involves a broad range of collection, billing and reconciliation activities inside the Accounting department including the management of the entire process to collect payments from Laclede's customers. Role is in office for first 90 days and then will be evaluated for remote/hybrid work schedule based on incumbent performance and proficiency in role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the processing of all invoices and the timely collection of payments
• Handle cash application/daily bank reporting
• Set objectives for AR that align with accounting department goals in conjunction with Accounting Manager
• Conduct credit checks and credit memos
• Review aging collections, credit releases and monthly statements; negotiate with customers in non-payment cases and missed payments
• Conduct ongoing analysis of the top accounts to keep in line with changing contracts and amendments reconciling actual payment vs receipts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc forecasting reports
• Organize records of invoices, bills and deposits
• Perform light balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist AP with weekly check runs/cross-training
• Provide year end audit support

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field preferred; will accept equivalent experience in accounting
• A minimum of three to five years of relevant work experience in AR
• General Accounting experience a plus

Experience:

• Background and proven work experience in AR tasks and responsibilities
• Familiarity of all accounting procedures and managing daily financial transactions end-to-end
• Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word and banking software; experience with Epicor a strong plus
