JOB DESCRIPTION Forklift Operator (4607)
Basic Purpose
Our client in East Houston is looking to hire a Forklift Operator to assist in their shipping / receiving and production departments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate forklift regularly to move items between shipping / receiving area to storage, production and other areas as needed.
- Sorts and places bins, drums and pallets on shelves, racks, or storage floor according to procedure.
- Loads and unloads transportation trucks and containers
- Ensure a clean and safe workplace
- Records amounts of materials, lots or items received.
- Operates sweeper to clean the warehouse and yard area daily.
- Other projects and duties, as assigned.
Education / Training / Work Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or shipping and / or receiving environment
- 1-2 years forklift operating experience required
- Certified forklift operator is highly preferred
- Clean Background
- Fit Test (clean shaven) required
Type of Assignment : Temp-Hire
Salary
$18 / hr
Shift Schedule :
Monday Friday 7 am 4 pm with some Saturdays, as needed
