Who We’re Looking For:
As a key member of the Quality team, the Quality Technician ensures that Laborie incoming, in-process, and final products meet or exceed specifications and customer expectations for quality.

About the Role:
  • Performs inspections and/or quality control of supplier products (raw material, sub-assemblies and finished goods) based on approved specifications and/or work instruction/procedures to meet Laborie’s requirements and quality standards.
  • Performs First Article Inspection (FAI) and prepares conformance reports based on approved specifications.
  • Creates incoming inspection QC test/forms based on provided inspection criteria and reviews and maintains required incoming receiving records to ensure compliance with Laborie’s QMS.
  • Initiates Non-Conforming Reports (NCRs)in accordance with an ISO 13485 quality management system.
  • Participates in and provides materials to support MRB meetings for nonconformances, and other Ad-hoc meetings with cross functional teams to establish product inspection criteria.
  • Seeks improvements for QC forms and procedures for Incoming Inspection and works closely with production staff concerning quality discrepancies and provide feedback in support of preventive and corrective action activities.
  • Reviews and maintains device history records (DHR) and associated data for device release in accordance with quality system and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures completeness and accuracy of information contained in records and maintains required documentation and records in accordance with quality system and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma and 2 years of experience in a related position; 0 years of experience required with an AS, BS, or MS degree.
  • Demonstrated command of the English language (oral and written) and excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge of medical device quality and safety requirements and Familiar with ISO 13485
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering Technician or Technologist diploma (or equivalent) in Biomedical, Electronics or related field preferred
