Laborde Products is currently searching for a Recruiter/HR Generalist at our Covington, LA location to source, screen, and select candidates for open positions and build a talent pipeline for future growth within the organization.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement innovative full cycle recruitment strategies to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.
• Coordinate with team leaders to understand skills and competencies required to fulfill hiring needs.
• Create and/or update job descriptions as needed.
• Utilize applicant tracking system to create job postings, review applications, and maintain accurate candidate records.
• Maintain effective relationships with colleges, technical schools, and industry associations to source qualified candidates.
• Conduct phone screens to identify qualified candidates.
• Schedule interviews and administer pre-hire assessment tests.
• Communicate effectively with candidates and provide timely follow-up throughout all stages of the recruitment process while providing a positive candidate experience.
• Extend job offers and coordinate pre-employment testing.
• Initiate onboarding tasks and facilitate completion of all new hire documents to ensure an exceptional first-day experience for new hires.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Represent the company at hiring events, industry conferences, and other networking opportunities.
• Provide support for daily human resources functions, including onboarding/training, benefits administration, employee engagement, and compliance as needed.
• Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 2 years of recruiting and/or human resources experience preferred.
• High energy with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
