Job DescriptionMedical Laboratory Assistant - Clinical Lab - TampaFor current or prospective students, recent graduates and legal immigrants with prior lab experience looking to jump start their lab science/ lab technologist career who will enjoy learning on the job and being a part of a growing business, where commitment to quality of patient testing is truly appreciated and individual contribution is recognized. Job Summary:Responsible for data entry and quality bench work preparing patient samples for multiple instruments (urinalysis, hematology, chemistry, special chemistry, and molecular testing (PCR). Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of prior experience working in a medical field (physician’s office, pharmacy, lab, etc.).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Job Summary:
Process and prepare human samples (blood, urine, feces, etc.) for lab testing (hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, automated chemistry, serology and molecular/genetic.
Help and learn how to perform, interpret, and record quality control data in all departments.
Help manage inventory of lab supplies.
Perform other tasks and projects as directed.
Work Environment:We are a high complexity independent reference lab with the mission to provide superior quality service for physicians and their patients. Every employee and every customer are important. The staff is small, the pace is fast but customer service and individual attention to every account and every patient is a priority. IMPORTANT:This is a full-time job in the second shift: 2 pm - 10-11 pm, Monday-Friday. Pay range: $14-25/hr depending on experience and production. No health insurance. Bonuses for excellence.
