Job Overview
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for consideration to fill an open Engineering Supervisor position in our Program Management Services Division. This position will be located at our Client’s Augusta, ME office.
 
The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs. Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services. 
Responsibilities

• Manage the engineering group overseeing multiple electric utility infrastructure projects by coordinating a multi-disciplined engineering team.
• Define project scopes
• Review and approve engineering designs to meet means and methods set by client
• Sets unit goals and direction to align with client goals
• Directly interface with Director of Special Projects in setting strategic plans for system upgrades.
• Monitors project progress to assure quality and schedule constraints are met
• Considers innovative ways to undertake work, promoting automation and efficiencies in day to day work streams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in working with electric utility based projects
• Experience with Quality Management System Standards
• Leadership Experience
• In depth knowledge in utilizing MS Excel for data analysis, budgeting and planning and optimizing schedules
• Responsible for the oversite of project designs in accordance with utility and NESC standards

Competencies

• Knowledge in electric distribution line design and layout
• Ability to use and query SAP
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Public presentation skills and ability to summarize concepts utilizing Microsoft Project
• Results oriented
• Understanding of quality assurance processes
• Supervision of engineering personnel
• Proven ability to lead teams and work in a team environment
• Team oriented
