Lab24 LLC is Hiring a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Toxicology) Near Redding, CA

Come work for a great company in Northern California. Lab24 is a new lab in Redding, California that specializes in urine and oral fluid toxicology as well as PCR. Our company is run with employee satisfaction and happiness as a primary goal.

Position Summary:

The CLS performs technical work of considerable difficulty, primarily in testing client samples through various chemical, microscopic, serological, and bacteriologic techniques, but primarily with LC-MS and immunoassay machines, requiring a significant amount of independent judgment while operating and maintaining automated equipment. The CLS is also responsible for daily workflow to ensure timely and efficient departmental operations. The CLS also assists in ensuring regulatory compliance standards are met to comply with state and accrediting agency requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences required
  • Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license required
  • Recent clinical laboratory experience required
  • Experience operating LC-MS for Toxicology
  • Basic computer skills, ability to read and follow written instructions (i.e., policies and procedures) as well as understand and adhere to verbal directions required
  • Ability to write policy and procedures as well as communicate verbal directions effectively required
  • Above average communication, organizational skills, mathematical aptitude for computations, standard formulas, and precise measurements and ability to adapt to workload demands required
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients regarding questions or concerns they may have regarding lab results
  • Ability to remain clam and function efficiently during difficult or emergency situations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field preferred
  • 3 years of experience working with LC-MS
  • Registration with a national professional organization (AABB, ASCP, NCA) and knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $94,662.34 - $145,684.22 per year
