Job Description:

Perform routine chemistry, hematology and urinalysis testing. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform moderate and highly complex technical procedures and functions according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls according to established protocols.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Assist with accessioning and processing of specimens when needed.
• Follow all safety protocols.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 6:00 am- 3:00 pm

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

The position requires an Associate of Science degree from an accredited MLT program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

• ASCP or AMT Certified Preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT:

• Working knowledge and experience with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
• Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate and have positive working relationships with fellow staff members, internal clients, and external clients.
• Working knowledge of principles, practices, and terminology of clinical laboratory.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• High level of attention to detail along with strong organizational skills.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• LABDAQ EXPERIENCE
• Vitros 7600 or 5600 Training
• Experience with the QuantStudio instrument platform or Sensititre Aris HiiQ system preferred but not required.
