Barista and cashier
A newly opening French-Italian fusion bakery & cafe located in the heart of the versatile NOHO Art District is hiring baristas with previous exerience.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee and tea
- Operate cash register and handle customer transactions accurately
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take customer orders and prepare beverages according to established recipes and quality standards
- Serve orders to tables when requested
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Handle food items, such as pastries or sandwiches, as needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines for proper food handling and sanitation
Skills:
- Strong math skills for cash handling and calculating order totals
- Experience with operating a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive experience for customers
- Knowledge of food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with the food industry and understanding of different beverage options
- Sales skills to upsell additional items or promote special offers
We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about coffee and providing exceptional service. If you have previous experience in the food industry, enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, and have the skills listed above, we would love to hear from you.
The successful candidate must be available to work on-site at our coffee shop location.
