Job description

We are looking for a skilled Auto Body Technician to repair & clean vehicles at our family owned & operated car dealership. You will be responsible for small repairs & detailing the vehicles. You need to be experienced in paint correction (buffing/wet-sanding/and paint touch ups), remove & install body parts interior/exterior, detailing experience is optional, basic detailing: interior/exterior (wash/vacuum/wiping interiors down, etc.)

We are looking to hire someone as of 3/1/24 and the job position will be open until the position is filled.

Salary/Hourly Pay Rate

• Pay will depend on your resume, experience and certifications: We will discuss pay during the interview. Hourly rate will start at $17-$22 an hour and if you have any Certification's and 5 years experience then the pay will be more of course but we can talk pay after reviewing the resume. (No Commission).

Work Schedule

• We need someone full-time, Monday-Friday, Some Saturdays if need be but we can discuss it.
• Hours: 10am-6:30pm. (We can discuss hours and schedule if need be).

Responsibilities

• Detailing vehicles that come in from the auction, Washing exterior/interior etc.
• Putting window year sticker & decal/license plate frame on, putting valve stem caps on, placing paper floor mats in vehicle
• Buffing/Wet-sanding any imperfections on the paint & headlights, paint touch ups all around
• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues. Changing any interior/exterior parts on the vehicle that needs to be changed (we have a mechanic/tech that can assist as well)
• Painting from small damages, blending paint or full paint on certain body panels (good paint work only).
• Provide list of parts needed to repair vehicle
• Maintain equipment and tools
• Starting Dealership Vehicles every other day & putting gasoline in if it is low
• Keeping work area clean & maintained (Sweeping and organizing)
• Errand running for parts or transporting/driving vehicles from auction or other repair shops
• We have all the detailing supplies & auto body supplies & some Power tools
• Job Responsibilities will vary but we need someone that is not lazy and will take care of our vehicles and car lot! We need someone wanting to work hard and be helpful no matter what needs to be done

Skills

• Proven experience as auto body tech & detailer & painter
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g. buffer/basic hand tools)
• Excellent physical condition & able to lift heavy objects sometimes
• High school diploma is preferred but not needed
• We need a long term Auto Body Tech/Detailer that is trustworthy and responsible enough to work independently ("Job-Hopper's" do NOT apply please).
• Plus if you are Bi-Lingual (English & Spanish)

Working Conditions

• Inside heated garage with Refrigerator, Microwave, & we have large shop fans with misters attached & Evaporative Cooling fans.
• May need to work outside in some cases, we have large covered car ports as well
• You will have to learn how to switch tasks all of a sudden if there is a more urgent task that needs to be done, such as: a vehicle being sold needs to be washed/rinsed etc. (Able to switch tasks quickly).
• Our car dealership is located on SW 29th St in Oklahoma city
• Hispanic customer base for the most part. We are very laid back and do not micro-manage, we are very straight forward with what we want or expect. We need someone that shows respect and has a positive attitude. We will not tolerate people that are disrespectful, can't show up to work on time or someone that gives a half effort when doing work. We need a motivated worker that wants to succeed and we will make sure you are compensated as so.
