Job Summary:

The Outside Sales Representative will be reaching out to and/or meeting with customers and prospective customers on a regular and continuous basis. They will be an expert on the organization’s products and how those fit the needs of customers, assisting them through the sales process. High energy, being well spoken, and eager to close and increase revenue are a must.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Sell company products and services
  • Develop, maintain record of and follow up with leads
  • Interact with customers and prospective customers daily
  • Provide quotes to customers or prospective customers
  • Maintain good relationships with current and potential customers
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the companies product and services, and how they benefit customers
  • Strategically negotiate prices of goods and services
  • Input orders into the companies Business Management System
  • Support/follow up with customers after initial sale to ensure satisfaction and other potential sales opportunities
  • Educating customers on products
  • Resolve complaints
  • Collaborate with leadership on marketing strategies and materials needed
  • Research competitors products and pricing in the area
  • Research and keep up to date on industry/area customer trend and need changes
  • Provide regular (daily, weekly and monthly) updates to leadership
  • Weekly and/or monthly meeting’s with leadership
  • Pitch ideas, initiatives, or promotions to leadership
  • Travel within your territory for face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers
  • Other tasks not specified.

Education/Experience:

  • Prior experience in sales
  • 2-3 years of relevant outside sales experience
  • Tactical/LE industry experience a plus
  • Associate degree (preferred but not required)

Work Environment:

  • This position requires consistent use of a computer and associated peripherals.
  • Being on site at various customer or prospective customer’s place of business.

Travel:

  • This position requires travel to various customers or prospective customers via the employees personally owned motor vehicle. Having and maintaining a clean driving record is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demand:

  • Working at a personal computer station on a regular basis.
  • Viewing information on monitors, phone, and paperwork. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Manual dexterity to operate all aforementioned equipment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, or boxes of product, up to 20 pounds.
