Substitutes, would work with all ages - 6 weeks through 5 years. Possible guaranteed hours as a floater for the right person. Assistants work with the Lead Teacher developing curriculum, assessing the children and helping them reach their milestones. 24 hours or more of continuing education per year is required. 45 hour class is required; CDA/CDC is preferable. Inclusion training is a plus. FOCUS training/experience is also a plus. Assistant job hours are for 30 hours (noon to 6pm) per week, Monday through Friday. Substitutes work on call, on an as needed basis. Candidates MUST have experience. Pre-Employment Drug Screening and a Background Check are REQUIRED of all candidates who are offered a position with ongoing monthly random drug testing as part of the job requirements. La Luz ECC is a drug free (including cannabis) environment. Base pay ranges from $16 to $18.50 per hour. Pay range starts w/NO experience and NO 45 hour course and runs up to a MA w/many years experience.
