La Jolla Country Club is Hiring an Expeditor I/II Near La Jolla, CA

SUMMARY 
Serves as the liaison between the cook line and the service personnel, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of all food products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Serves as a representative of the Club, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other staff, management, members, and guests. 
  • Compliance with all Club Safety Regulations and participation in ongoing Safety Seminars.
  • Communicates with Management and Servers in regards to menu changes throughout service.
  • Controls the flow of food out of the kitchen via the fire control system.
  • Prepares and places garnishes on the appropriate food items/wipes plate edges.
  • Prepares trays for Servers with the correct plates to ensure delivery efficiency.
  • Performs light food preparation duties including bread and dessert presentations.
  • Station set-up, which includes, but is not limited to, preparing condiments and side dishes, liner plates, etc. according to the menu requirements. 
  • Maintains service line in a neat and orderly condition and cleans at end of shift.
  • Distributes and writes specials on the menu board.
  • Counts down menu items.
  • Notifies servers of 86’d items.
  • Stocks dairy cooler and ice cream freezer; sets up the daily soup.
  • Runs food to tables when necessary.
  • Warms bread and prepares whipped butter set-ups.
  • Notifies the Chef of any ice cream shortages or needs.
  • Assists servers and the cook line with any back-of-house needs.
  • Cleans and wipes down all serving trays daily.
  • Completes side duties as required including, polishing silverware, restaurant set-up, returning bar glasses to bars, and taking glass breakage to recycle.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • (Responsibilities/important duties performed occasionally or in addition to the essential duties of the position.) 
 
Essential Skills and Knowledge Required:
  • Must have complete knowledge of all menu items, table numbers, and seat assignments.
  • Must have complete knowledge of all aspects of the POS system.
  • Must have a rudimentary knowledge of proper front-of-house service techniques.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with members, guests, and employees.
  • LJCC Server Basic Training required.

  • Protective equipment is required. (non-skid shoes, gloves)

  • Repetitive movement of the arm at the shoulder for intermittent periods 67 – 100% of the time.

  • Ability to reach with hands and arms for intermittent periods 67 – 100% of the time.
  • Ability to twist neck for intermittent periods 67 – 100% of the time.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
