Software Quality Assurance Analyst

LA Fitness is a well-established fitness company with over 700 state-of-the-art gyms and sports clubs throughout the United States and Canada. Based in Irvine, CA & Irving, TX, our IT department is expanding to support new technology initiatives to keep pace with rapid company growth. We seek a talented and passionate Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join our company.

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst will be working with a team of motivated developers and other QA analysts to deliver state of art applications on a timely manner. You will also collaborate with other product teams to ensure the best user experience and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize black box testing methodologies to ensure release quality
• Develop and execute software test plans to identify problems with program function, output, or content
• Create SQL queries to setup test data and perform validation within the database
• Inserts, Updates, and Queries with complex joins
• Work with developers to build test plans for ‘Happy Path’ as well as key edge cases
• Analytical thinking to identify complex test cases and ensure code coverage in testing
• Plan test schedules and strategies in accordance with project scope/delivery dates
• Cross team collaboration to identify integration issues
• Develop standards, methodologies, and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
• Proper bug tracking, documentation, and reporting
• Investigate production issues as reported by technical support
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
• Participate in our Agile environment, stand-ups, planning, story creation, etc.
• Work closely with the Product Manager to define strategy and processes

Requirements:

• At least two years of QA experience
• Experience with QA defect tracking tools (Visual Studio/TFS and Azure DevOps preferred)
• Document and analyze test cases
• Proficient with SQL queries (Microsoft SQL Server)
• Familiarity with XML
• Self-motivated
• Detail-oriented & extremely well organized.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, demanding, and challenging business environment.
• Ability to deliver quality results in a busy and dynamic environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Full-time position only. Contractors and Consultants will not be considered for this position.

Pay: $108,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
