LA Fitness is Hiring an Assistant Personal Training Director Near Lake Grove, NY

Assistant Personal Training Director (APTD)

Do you have passion for helping people with their health and wellness goals? Can you use those passions to influence others to make positive changes to their lifestyle? We are looking to bring high energy and positive individuals with a background in fitness to join our team as Assistant Personal Training Directors.

The mission of the LA Fitness Pro Results Personal Training Department is to take every single LA Fitness member from where they are now in terms of fitness and functional mobility, to where they want to be in the safest, fastest, most enjoyable way possible.

The Top 3 Duties of an APTD are to act as a:

· Surrogate PTD - Run the training program in the club in the PTDs absence ·

· Team Developer - Train and develop the PTCs to perform at or above minimum expectations.

· Sales Leader - Continue to generate new clients and service existing ones.

What We Expect From You ·

· To lead and train by your example:

o Line up for 4-5 presentations/day yourself and show your people how to do the same.

o Make sure the team contacts every new Fitness member to set an appointment, and step in and show them how they struggle.

o Show the team how to build value, enthuse and motivate potential clients, to schedule and show for their assessments.

o Train Personal Training Counselors how to properly present PT packages

o Coach each teammate on proper techniques on how to finalize the purchase of a clients desired PT package.

o Show them how to properly service their clients (follow-up calls and on the floor) ·

· To lead a sales effort every morning and on the weekends (Fri-Sun) that matches or exceeds the average results achieved during the weeks (Mon-Thurs). ·

· To average at least $15,000 in Personal Invoice each pay period. ·

· To invest in continued education and development daily, based on skillset and furthering exercise experience. ·

· To work with the PTD and other club managers to maintain a safe, professional and positive work environment.

What You Can Expect From Us

· To be able to advance as high as your performance takes you. The sky's the limit for those who excel amongst other APTDs within the market. That means leading productive weekends, mornings, developing a successful staff, as well as leading by example with high personal performance month over month, all in a professional and ethical manner.

Keys to Success /Advancement ·

· Always support your PTD and the Company policy to staff and clients.

· As Zig Ziglar said, “Training is like bathing. It works IF you do it every day”. Train your PTCs in every encounter all day, every day. ·

· Embrace your PTCs, get to know them and what their professional/personal goals are. Then help/drive their efforts to achieve those goals with a lead from the front mentality. ·

· Celebrate your teams progress and successes. Use any setback as an opportunity to re-direct, coach and build self-confidence. ·

· Do your best to get every PTC writing at least $20,000 of Qualified Invoice per month.

· Help the PTD to always average over $200 in Contract/New Member as well as meet or exceed club expectations of 1:10 penetration. ·

· Ensure that each sale by every team member is ethically made. Verify the client fully understands the terms and that the client starts training immediately. ·

· Get to know your trainers (their personalities and specialties) so you can match clients properly. ·

· Be a great leader by first being a great follower! Support the policies and spirit of Pro Results, your VPs, OMs and PTDs. Executing all directives without hesitation or alteration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Personal training: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • personal training certificate (Preferred)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Lake Grove, NY 11755: Relocate before starting work (Required)
