The Camp Counselor will be provide provide mentorship and positive guidance to children and adults with disabilities including developmental, cognitive, and physical disabilities while making a positive impact in the community. With in-depth training on disability adaptations, accommodation, and personal care needs you will gain critical experience in positive guidance techniques and program creation.

Specific Hours:

This is a part-time position working 7:15 am-3 pm, Monday – Friday, between June-July.

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily activities
• Provide opportunities for educational enrichment, physical activity, and healthy eating
• Build relationships with camp participants and families
• Assess, implement, evaluate, and adapt camp activitiesProvide personal care needs and/or administer medication when needed

  Requirements

  • Strong verbal communication skillsEducation and experience working with individuals with disabilities are preferred
