La Crosse Sign is Hiring an Installation and Service Technician Near Onalaska, WI

Description

What You'll Do

  • Install and/or service a variety of signage (electric, non-electric), such as pylons and monuments, wall signs, channel letters, flex faces, vinyl and others.
  • Work as part of a team to load/unload trucks, layout patterns, drilling walls, setting anchors, digging holes, install electrical conduit and wiring for different types of signs.
  • Work from crane truck, bucket truck or ladders, and other lift equipment. Will work at various heights.
  • Transport signage to destination and prepare worksites by removing unwanted signage and clearing old wires and electrical docks. (90% of travel would be within 200 miles of Green Bay).
  • Install signs by following strict instructions and by complying with the work order.
  • Make final electrical connection to electrical docs as instructed by the company and ensure that electric wiring is properly grounded.
  • Fabricate metal parts such as steel frames and columns in accordance to provided blueprints and installation instructions.

Requirements

What You Need

  • Installation/Construction work experience preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • The ability to work overtime and travel overnight if needed.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Occasional out of town travel.
  • Perform duties at heights of 20-100 ft.
  • Ability to handle physical workload (minimum 50 lbs).
  • Crane certification a plus (we’ll help you get it!).
  • Mechanical, welding, electrical or other related knowledge is a plus.
  • CDL Class A required within six months of hire (we’ll help you get it!).
  • Understanding and ability to adhere to safety standards and good interpersonal communication skills.
