The System Administrator is a vital member of the IT department responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of computer systems, networks, and servers within an organization. This role involves managing, monitoring, and maintaining the overall health and security of the IT infrastructure.
Core Competencies:
Must have knowledge of Computer operating systems in use at LCDF including the latest versions of Windows desktop operating systems and Windows Server operating systems.
Must be familiar with Local area and wide area network hardware, configuration and protocols.Working Knowledge of VMware, PHD Virtual Back up solutions, SAN Maintenance and configuration.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all employees and department needs.
Must be a self-initiating and adaptable with an ability to communicate to a variety of staff members.
Must be familiar with Meraki and Cisco equipment.
Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
Must be highly organized. Must have high attention to detail.
Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Ability to keep relationship with dealings with clients and resources agencies.
Must be able to work and problem solve independently.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in computer science or related field or 5 years of relevant and related experience. Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco, CompTIA Network , etc.) are a plus - proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role. Experience with Office 365.
