La Casa Family Health Center is accepting applications for a regular, full-time Optometric Technician in our new optometry center in Portales, New Mexico. The Optometric Technician welcomes patients to the clinic, performs pre-testing and and ancillary testing on patients such as checking visual acuity, performing auto-refraction, eye pressure testing, OCT, fundus photos and visual field testing; may be cross-trained to help patients select appropriate frames and lenses. Must have at least one year of customer service experience, insurance coding helpful and bi-lingual preferred. Pre-employment background check, drug test and COVID vaccination required. La Casa is an EOE.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
