Job Summary

As the Assistant Warehouse Manager at L&S you would be responsible for managing one of the five L&S warehouses in compliance with L&S’s policies and vision.

The successful applicant will maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, lead and develop the warehouse team, and provide impeccable service to our employees and subcontractors.

General Responsibilities

• Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with L&S’s policies, procedures, and vision.
• Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts that ensure efficient space utilization.
• Control inventory levels by conducting and coordinating physical counts, reconciling with data storage system, and maintaining communication with the purchasing department.
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures to ensure materials are accurately and efficiently distributed to subcontractors, service technicians and others.
• Maintain warehouse staff results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees as employee development is crucial to our overall success.

Qualifications

• Warehouse management experience should include, but not limited to :
• Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
• Experience in plumbing, HVAC, or electrical inventory control is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to coach, train, mentor, and lead by example.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with Key emphasis on Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain productivity and efficiency in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
• Must be analytical.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the position :
• Working in indoor and outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow),
• Climbing ladders and steep stairs,
• Crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching,
• Pushing and pulling of objects.
• Routinely lifting heavy objects more than 50 pounds.
