L&S Electric, Inc. is Hiring a CNC Machinist Near Appleton, WI

Responsibilities:

  • Set-up of CNC machines to bore, face, mill, drill, and tap.
  • Regularly perform milling, turning, drilling tapping de-burring, sawing, and sanding tasks.
  • Align distances to ensure accurate alignment.
  • Hold tolerances as needed for all CNC machining operations.
  • Able to create set-up sheets or sequence of machining.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow prescribed safety procedures.
  • Perform inspections of machined products and document results.
  • Work with G codes, CNC programming, and off-line programming.
  • Assist other shop departments with skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor or shop manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of related experience.
  • Able to work overtime including weekends as needed.

Physical demands:

  • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling of heavy objects with the assistants of an overhead crane.
  • Uneven or slippery walking surfaces.
  • Able to wear proper PPE (i.e. hearing protection, safety glasses, hard hat, etc.).
