We have an opening for an experienced Stain & Fill operator at our Manlius, NY facility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Apply required stains to unfinished and pre-stained furniture
• Identify a variety of wood species products including but not limited to the following wood species: Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Maple, Birch, and Veneers and make grade related decisions on a daily basis based on established Stickley standards
• Reports to their supervisor or work group leader for direction daily and promptly report any questions or problems
• Read, comprehend, and full fill production tickets and scan tickets upon completion
• Inspect case goods and parts for quality
• Work in the safest, most efficient manner per specifications and when no other jobs are noted as needed line up jobs in a manner that minimizes setup time
• Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner
• Applying and wiping off stains utilizing items such as sponges, cheese clothes and brushes on case goods and furniture parts
• Upon completing production orders, transfer completed orders to the inspection area
