Company Overview:
The Lubanko family has a long and storied history in the aggregate mining industry. Beginning with Milo Lubanko and his company, Lubanko & Sons, the family has been involved in the crushing business for over half a century. In the 1950s, Milo purchased a quarry in the Salton Sea area of Southern California to provide aggregates, asphalt, and concrete for the rapidly developing Mojave Valley. After Milo's passing, his son, Donald Lubanko, formed Diversified Materials in the 1980s and 90s, which dominated the portable crushing market in Southern California. In 1984, he moved into the Nuway Landfill to mine sand and cobble for the Industrial Asphalt Company and Owl Rock, but when those reserves were depleted, he refocused on portable crushing services. He ran the company until 1995 when he sold it. In 2014, Milan Lubanko, Milo’s grandson, founded L&G Portable Crushing & Materials, carrying on the family tradition.

Responsibilities:
As an Excavator Operator, you will play a crucial role in the successful operation of our crushing plant. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Excavator Operation: Operate an excavator equipped with a breaker attachment to break down oversize material before it is fed into the crushing plant.
• Safety and Maintenance: Adhere to strict safety protocols while operating the excavator and breaker. Conduct routine pre-operational checks and report any equipment malfunctions promptly. Perform basic maintenance tasks on the equipment.
• Material Processing: Work closely with the crushing plant team to efficiently process and manage oversize material, ensuring it meets plant specifications.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication with plant operators, laborers, and supervisors to ensure seamless coordination and operation.
• Quality Control: Monitor material quality and report any deviations from established standards. Collaborate with the plant team to optimize production efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Excavator Operator, with specific expertise in operating a breaker attachment.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols related to breaker operation.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed
