Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced carpentry supervisor. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating both residential and small commercial projects from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of various construction techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
-Supervise and manage small crews of 4-5 team members
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
- Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring accurate implementation of design plans
- Provide guidance and instruction to carpenters, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Monitor project progress, identifying any issues or delays and implementing corrective actions as necessary
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules and allocate resources effectively
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and material usage
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, construction, and building. Commercial building experience a plus.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
