Kyverna Therapeutics is a clinical-stage cell therapy company with the mission of engineering a new class of therapies for autoimmune diseases. Kyverna is recruiting a highly motivated Research Associate II in its Research organization to help advance its mission to free patients from the siege of autoimmune disease. The successful candidate will work with other Research staff to carry out preclinical in vitro CAR-T cell assays, in support of Kyverna’s pipeline programs. This includes the phenotypic analysis of engineered CAR-T cells by flow cytometry, and the functional characterization of T cells via methods such as cytotoxicity, proliferation, and MSD / other cytokine secretion assays in vitro. Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineered T cells by flow cytometry
  • Execute assays to characterize the functional capabilities of engineered T cells, for example, in vitro cytotoxicity assays, proliferation assays, MSD analysis
  • Analyze data and communicate results to other Research team members
  • Work with other Scientists and Research Associates to advance the goals of the research team
Requirements
  • B.S. or M.S. (or equivalent) degree in a field of Cell Biology, Immunology, or related scientific discipline
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with primary human T Cell culture and ex vivo characterization
  • Experience with multicolor flow cytometry and/or working with human CAR-T cells is highly desirable
  • Experience with T cell functional assays (cytotoxicity, proliferation) and cytokine analyses (MSD, ELLA, ELISA) are highly desirable
  • Self-starter, with ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in teams
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in maintaining rigorous lab documentation
  • Resourcefulness in overcoming challenges, and possess the ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment

$85,000 - $110,000 a year

The salary range for this position is $85,000 USD to $110,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this posted position, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation individual education, experience, tenure, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible for bonus, benefits, and participation in Company’s stock option plan.
