Kynisca Innovation and Insights Center is Hiring a Remote Director of Marketing - KIIC

Kynisca Innovation and Insights Center (KIIC) is seeking an entrepreneurial and strategic-minded Director of Marketing to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will oversee and perform a variety of marketing activities, thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment, and is excited about innovation. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and executing our marketing strategy.
The Director of Marketing will:
• Lead the development of an athlete-driven brand ahead of the launch of our first consumer-facing app, and other focused strategies
• Develop our APP and platform Go To Market Strategy, implementing a comprehensive plan for maximizing brand awareness and user acquisition
• Monitor and analyze marketing metrics to evaluate launch and campaign effectiveness and provide actionable insights to optimize performance. Translate user behavior analytics into future marketing efforts.
• Conduct thorough market research to analyze consumer insights and identify target markets and their needs.
• Design and manage the annual, seasonal, and quarterly marketing calendars, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient and effective utilization, while also exploring opportunities to enhance the creative direction and digital presence.
• Drive successful seasonal campaigns and branding initiatives with enthusiasm and creativity, ensuring alignment with the brand's voice and values.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including scientific research, education, product development, administration and finance, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, influencers, and partners to ensure the successful execution of marketing projects (including website and logo design), seeking out partnerships that align with the brand's ethos and goals.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging marketing techniques, continuously refining marketing strategies to stay ahead of the curve.
• Deploy and scale marketing investments effectively and efficiently to build KIIC’s brand profile and accelerate growth across channels, demonstrating agility and adaptability in response to market dynamics.
• Hire, build, and supervise marketing team, helping to define and execute social media and content marketing strategies.
The ideal candidate has:
• 5 years of experience leading a marketing team
• Significant experience leading a brand's social media initiatives.
• Experience managing website content and SEO optimization.
• Proven ability to translate complex research findings, technical information, or industry insights into clear and accessible language for non-expert audiences.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with social media management tools, analytics platforms, and email marketing software is a plus.
• Exceptional strategic orientation and an ability to build consensus around a strategic vision.
• Experience managing external partners and deliverables
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multifunctional teams.
