Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Store Engineering Department is based in La Crosse, WI and services our 800 plus retail store locations in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois and Iowa and adding 40 - 60 per year and total of 80 projects a year. The co-workers in this department are responsible for designing, building, remodeling, and maintaining Kwik Trip, Kwik Star, Stop-N-Go, and Tobacco Outlet Plus Grocery, as well as our car washes.

The Store Engineering Department has an opportunity for an experienced General Construction Superintendent. This professional will be responsible for supervising a team of subcontractors as well as coordinating the implementation and completion of all phases of new construction and remodeling of convenience store projects throughout Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, South Dakota, and Iowa. The position will require knowledge of the following: site grading, site utilities, gas install, underground storage tank install, gas canopies, building construction, carwash construction, building systems, carpentry, landscaping, erosion control, and OSHA Standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a related construction field.
• Experience in reading plans and specifications
• nowledgeable in construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Ability to be flexible and work effectively and safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills necessary to establish working relationships with other superintendents, project managers, supervisors, designers, contractors, and inspectors.
• Ability to create, implement, and execute plans.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret information into meaningful results.
• Ability to provide subcontractors with timely and professional performance feedback.
• Ability to identify and complete tasks without direct supervision.
• Maintain schedule to complete projects within a deadline and budget.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
• Possess a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record
• DOT regulated or the ability to become DOT regulated.
• This candidate will need to currently be living or open to relocating into one of our markets; The areas we are looking at are: Albert Lea, MN; Mankato, MN; La Crosse, WI.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, daytime hours; This schedule does include required daily travel, but some occasional overnights may be necessary.
