** Maintenance Support Specialist**

The Jamar Company is seeking to fill the role of a **Maintenance Support Specialist** with an innovative, self-directed professional who thrives on multi-tasking while maintaining high attention to detail. The successful candidate will join our maintenance team and become a partner who takes a positive and proactive approach in supporting our department.

**Job Summary:**

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Support Specialist is to support the maintenance department in the process of planning and scheduling work activities. Coordinates work with others, understands the process equipment, and enters/updates equipment data in the CMMS system as needed. Collaborates within the Maintenance Department and with Refinery Operations, Refinery Engineering, and local contractors as needed.

**Education / Experience Required:**

* 2-year Technical Degree is preferred.

* Experience with SAP Enterprise Asset Management or other CMMS Software is a plus.

* Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).

* Exceptional computer skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

* Knowledge of industrial equipment, maintenance techniques, drawings, and specifications. Ability to read and understand technical documents and symbols and to apply this knowledge.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Able to efficiently perform internet search and research.

* Organization skills: able to plan tasks, work, and projects with specific attention to detail.

* Able to write technical directions, read and interpret vendor manuals and drawings, and apply cost analysis within a structured budget.

* Clear, effective communication skills.

* Commitment to safety and teamwork.

* Self-directed and motivated; able to work towards specific goals and objectives with limited daily oversight.

* Able to develop and deliver clear and concise presentations when required.
