Kwik Trip Inc. I.T. Retail Systems is seeking a full time individual to be responsible for the setup of new equipment, repair and maintenance, and support for all I.T. Retail Systems hardware in retail stores. This includes repair of POS hardware and peripherals, PCs, laser printers, label printers, scales, DVRs, and CCTV systems.

What you’ll be doing…

As an ITRS Hardware Support Technician 1, you will work independently as well as on a team to provide operational support for Kwik Trip’s systems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Receive in, unbox, and asset tag equipment.
• Inspect, burn in, troubleshoot, repair, install new components, and provide preventative maintenance to electronic equipment support by IT Retail Systems. This includes but is not limited to: Point of Sale registers and peripherals, Computers, Laser Printers, Dot Matrix Printers, Document Scanners, Security Systems, Kitchen Production and Printing Solutions, Scales, iPads, Payment Terminals, and Fuel Controllers.
• Prep, pull, configure, and receive in equipment for Field Service Technicians and stores.
• Conduct the imaging, configuring, and calibration of equipment to prepare for deployments, replenish backup equipment, and provide replacement equipment as needed.

You’ll need to have:

• Knowledge and general understanding of electronic equipment, computers, and computer peripherals.
• Knowledge of mechanical principles and the desire to troubleshoot and repair issues.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent organization skills. 
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues. 
• Ability to multi-task and perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to work well independently as well as on a team. 
• Ability to meet project and department deadlines. 

Even better if you have: 

• Knowledge of electronic principles, relevant higher education, or technical work experience.
• Knowledge of CCTV hardware and DVR systems.
• Knowledge of local area networks and principles.

Physical qualifications: The ability to reach/twist and kneel/crouch frequently, lift/carry up to 50 pounds frequently.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time position. The candidate must be willing to work up to 40 hours per week typically Monday through Friday daytime hours.
