Kwan Wo Ironworks Inc. is Hiring a Steel Detailers / Drafters Near Hayward, CA

Kwan Wo Ironworks Inc. is a steel contractor offering high quality construction service to owners and builders in the Bay Area. We are looking for Steel Detailers / Drafters to join our growing, dynamic team.

*Not a Remote Position*

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

- Produce and check erection and fabrication drawings in AutoCAD and Tekla (X-Steel)

- Communicate with Purchasers, and Fabrication/ Installation Crews

- Report to Project Manager

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

- Great attitude towards individual performance and teamwork

- Able to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat

- Able to use AutoCAD

- Able to understand Architectural Drawings and Structural Drawings

HIGHER-PAY TRAITS:

- Able to read and write precisely and concisely in English to describe technical / geometrical / spatial objects and situations

- Able to Use Tekla at proficiently and efficiently to produce 3D models and 2D drawings

- Experienced in drafting for the structural steel and miscellaneous metals industry

- Experienced with surveying land and buildings

- Experienced with hands-on construction

- Experienced being a construction foreman

- Strong leadership and management skills

- Additional bilingual skills in Chinese and/or Spanish for an optional added role as liaison

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
