KW Plastics Recycling Division is Hiring a Quality Lab Technician Near Troy, AL
SCHEDULE:
8AM-4PM Monday-Friday
TYPICAL DUTIES:
The Quality Lab Technician - Incoming Raw Material Prep Plant 2/3 will support various laboratory and quality functions within the plastics manufacturing space. This candidate will be responsible for collecting samples of incoming raw materials products. Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Enter incoming trailers and collect core samples on incoming raw materials.
- Properly label incoming samples, complete testing paperwork and deliver samples to plant 1 in a timely manner.
- Access regrind using yellow sheet data, collect samples and log samples in computer and hard copy.
- Responsible for completing all necessary quality documentation and accurately recording in the quality management system.
- Provide any support to wash line testing and quality processes.
- Sample preparation, sorting, labeling of all production lot molded parts for each product.
- Support running lab scale extruder and injection grade parts.
- Recognize product quality issues and promptly report to Supervisor/Management
- Accurately complete required paperwork
- Enter collected test data into the QC Labware.
- General housekeeping of work area
- Additional duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or Equivalent Required
- Quality, Manufacturing, or Laboratory Experience Preferred
- Understand and follow all company policies and procedures
- Valid I.D.
- Must pass pre-employment medical screening
- Experience Level: Entry Level

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
