Job Summary:

The KVP Energy Services Fleet Mechanic repairs, services, and maintains KVP’s vehicles. The Fleet Mechanic performs general labor and operates equipment in the shop. This position requires 24-hour emergency on-call scheduling availability.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Use the fleet management software Fleetio to keep track of kVP's owned vehicles being maintenance in the shop.

· Responsible for diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical troubleshooting and repairs, steering, and cooling systems of the company’s fleet.

· Responsible for repairs and maintenance on aerial devices, cranes, dozers, and other industry specific equipment.

· Perform planned maintenance and inspections on vehicles in a timely manner.

· Operate and test repaired equipment and confirm that specifications are met.

· Diagnose equipment for repairs through regular inspections of equipment.

· Maintain accurate records of repair performed on vehicles.

· Responsible for manual labor, including the tools required for mounting toolboxes, license plates, GPS units, registration stickers, toll tags, etc.

· Maintain knowledge of all FMCSA, DOT, and the State of Texas regulations to comply with all state and federal laws.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

· High School Diploma or GED; technical automotive trade certification preferred.

· 5 years of direct experience as a mechanic.

· 2 years wire and stick welding; preferred.

· Must be able to pass background check and drug test.

· Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record.

Special Requirements:

· Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time required.

· Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.

· Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
