KVC Health Systems is Hiring a Youth care specialist Near Saint James, MO

As a Youth Care Specialist (YCS), you will provide for the physical and emotional needs of the clients assigned to your cottage and facilitate a healthy group living experience.

You will also participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients. This position is great start to gain experience in the mental health / social services fields!

Pay :

$15.00-$17.00 Depending on Experience and Education

Schedule :

  • Full-Time and Part-Time
  • Overnight Shift

Responsibilities :

  • Provide for the physical and emotional needs of clients, including :
  • Providing meals and snacks
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Monitoring medication
  • Intervening in crisis situations
  • Facilitate a healthy group living experience, including :
  • Creating a positive and supportive environment
  • Managing conflict and enforcing house rules
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients, including : Attending treatment team meetings
  • Providing input and implementing on treatment plans

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Class E driver's license with good driving record
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Excellent time management
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Word, Excel, and e-mail applications proficiency
  • Must be 21 years old to apply
  • Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required
