KVC Missouri is Hiring a Youth Care Specialist Near Columbia, MO

Youth Care Specialist - KVC Missouri Residential Treatment Center: Columbia, MO
Pay: $16-$18.00 Depending on Experience and Education
Sign On Bonus: $1500.00
Shifts Available: Evening (2:00PM-10:30PM) OR Overnight (10:00PM-8:30AM)

Job Summary:

As a Youth Care Specialist (YCS), you will provide for the physical and emotional needs of the clients assigned to your cottage and facilitate a healthy group living experience. You will also participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients. This position is great start to gain experience in the mental health/social services fields!

Responsibilities:

Provide for the physical and emotional needs of clients, including:

  • Providing meals and snacks
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Monitoring medication
  • Intervening in crisis situations

Facilitate a healthy group living experience, including:

  • Creating a positive and supportive environment
  • Managing conflictEnforcing house rules
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients, including:Attending treatment team meetings
  • Providing input on treatment plansImplementing treatment plans

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Class E driver's license with good driving record
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Excellent time management
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Word, Excel, and e-mail applications proficiency
  • Must be 21 years old to apply
  • Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required
