Position Title: Shipper/Receiver - NY

Department: Finishing - NY

Directly Reports To: Warehouse Manager – Middletown, NY

Job Summary

The Shipper/Receiver will organize and process shipments of various materials and finished goods, and maintains warehouse standards.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Pack finished goods for customers
• Pack shipments for export to other facilities
• Receive and verify deliveries against Purchase Orders
• Use SAP for orders, stock and material movements
• Follow shipping instructions accurately
• Perform finished goods inventory (Cycle Counts)
• Complete daily freight spreadsheet and e-mail to appropriate parties
• Communicate with shipping companies for pick ups, generate BOL’s from websites
• Understand, interpret and implement order instructions based on paperwork from SAP
• Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment
• Maintain warehouse standards, organization, and safety
• Operate necessary equipment (Forklift, portable scanner)
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, dynamic working environment of continuous improvement and safety
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to static push up to 60lbs
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs from the floor

• Ability to demonstrate a team approach to problem solving
• Must be able to drive a sit down forklift (Involves lifting body weight onto sit down lift)
• Ability to answer the phone frequently in a polite and professional manner

Experience and Education

• 1-2 years of previous shipping/receiving experience
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP system
• Experience with basic MS Office programs
• 1-2 years’ experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software
• Forklift certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
