```Job Summary```
We have an immediate opening for a part time position at our supplemental, after-school learning center. We are seeking kind, patient individuals with strong critical thinking skills. The successful candidate will be provided training to perform the required tasks according to our tested methods. Some of these tasks may include organizing and grading student work, working directly with young students, working with other team members, and communicating with customers. A solid foundational knowledge in mathematics and language skills are required.
```Responsibilities```
- Assist in the implementation of individualized educational programs for children
- Communicate observations of student work to the chief instructor to measure progress
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs
- Assist with behavior management strategies in the classroom
- Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to address individual student needs
- Assist with literacy education and promote a love for reading
- Support classroom organization and cleanliness
```Qualifications```
- Experience working with children, preferably in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of childhood development and special education practices
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members
- Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development
- Certification or degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred but not required
