About us: NonStop Local KULR is south-central Montana’s leader in local news, weather and sports coverage on television and digital platforms! Affiliated with the NBC network, KULR-TV is part of Cowles Montana Media.

About this opportunity: KULR/SWX-TV in Billings, Montana is looking for a Sports Director! This position is a sportspersons’ dream. Not only do you anchor sports Monday through Friday on NBC, but you have an all sports channel that carries all local sports 24 hours a day! Football, Basketball, Baseball, Wrestling, Hydroplane racing, Motorcross: if it’s a sport, we air it! In Eastern Montana, the fans of high school sports could rival a college fan base any day! You’ll have the chance to cover some of the biggest college sports leagues, from NAIA to the Big Sky Conference. You’ll also have the opportunity to call games, do play-by-play and create programming for SWX. You’ll get to do this from one of the most beautiful regions of the U.S. - Big Sky Country! Billings, MT is a dream come true for anyone who loves the outdoors. And, there’s no sales tax!

Required Qualifications & Skills: Social Media skills and being a team player are a must for this position. We're looking for a multi-talented candidate with the ability to shoot, edit, and write for broadcast and internet. Organizational skills are very important, as well as a good driving record. A college degree in journalism or related field is preferred but not required. Two years of sports broadcasting and producing experience recommended.
