BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION Responsible for assisting dealers with managing inventory levels to maintain the proper balance between inventory investments and fill rates utilizing our Retail Inventory Management (RIM) System. Analyze Demand Planning, Forecast and Replenishment system by reviewing forecast exceptions and providing forecast information for items without enough demand history (e.g. new parts, slow-moving parts, and parts with quality issues).Manage and execute Parts service campaigns as needed. Ensures correct parameters are in place so system recommendations are compatible with the ordering requirements for the dealer and distribution network. Analyze and research at a Part level, forecast and inventory requirements to achieve Product level fill rate and inventory goals.Work with dealers to resolve order issues, answer questions and assist with RIM implementation. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures, and guidelines: Primary area of focus will be on dealer relations, order monitoring, data analysis and implementation of our retail inventory management (RIM) system. Review and manage forecasts of high volume and new parts and monitor inventory levels to achieve customer fill rate and inventory objectives. Analyze historical trends, “like” Products and Parts, and Sales and Marketing data to apply a best fit forecast to achieve fill rate and inventory objectives. Oversees parts positioning for service campaigns as needed to achieve readiness objectives. Manage inventory management solutions such as forecasting, stock level, replenishment and deployment Initiates and improves demand planning processes, fill rates, inventory performance, and supply chain costs. Analyze part master data including lead times, price, and supplier sourcing requirements.Monitor, generate and interpret results of reports necessary to support parts availability and fill rates. Produce detailed analysis with organized conclusions for presentation. Demonstrate cross-functional supply chain knowledge with the ability to provide overall supply guidance to other functional areas (Service, Engineering, Product Management, Operations, IT, etc.) Act as liaison between our vendor support staff and dealers Other duties as assigned by management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial or Supply Chain Engineering from an accredited University preferred:In lieu of a degree at least 3 years of inventory management or supply chain management education and/or experience required. With a degree 0-3 years of inventory management required. Extensive knowledge of Aftermarket Service Parts. Knowledge of the industrial, Agricultural or Construction industries is preferred. Experience providing aftermarket parts customer service to industrial, agricultural or construction dealers is preferred. Experience with retail inventory management (RIM) systems such as Syncron Inventory, OEC Smartco, RIMpro, AMAX, JDPrism, or ASR2.0 preferred.SAP ERP (APO, WM, BW), forecasting-planning systems, and warehouse management systems experience is preferred. Detailed knowledge of Inventory Management philosophies.Technical knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft office programs.Occasional travel may be required.
